One of the largest remaining stretches of undeveloped coastline in southern California, the Gaviota Coast in Santa Barbara County is a spectacular landscape
composed of agricultural, biological, cultural, recreational, and scenic resources. The County's Comprehensive Plan outlines policies that apply to the Gaviota Area.

New Draft Gaviota Coast Plan
The draft Gaviota Coast Plan is now available for public review.
GavPAC meetings will resume on February 6, 2013 to discuss the GavPAC's final recommendations for the draft Gaviota Coast Plan. To see information about the draft Gaviota Coast Plan, please click here.

Draft Gaviota Coast Plan Section Release Timeline
Sections of the Draft Gaviota Coast Plan will be released to the public over the next several months. The public is invited to review and comment on the draft plan.The table below identifies plan topics and anticipated public release dates. Staff will post documents to our website and notify interested parties via email when the draft Gaviota Coast Plan sections are available for public review. The public is encouraged to submit comments to staff within thirty days of the release date. The Agriculture and Natural Resources sections will be released in a bound copy that includes all previously released Gaviota Coast Plan sections.
GavPAC meetings are expected to resume in February 2013 to discuss final recommendations for the draft Gaviota Coast Plan. Assembling comments early will help staff incorporate comments ahead of the February GavPAC deliberations. Staff will email a flier to interested parties a week before each GavPAC meeting,
