Los Alamos Planning Advisory Committee (LAPAC)
Project Description
On
August 8, 2006, the Board of Supervisors created the Los Alamos Planning
Advisory Committee (LAPAC). The LAPAC is intended to function as a General
Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) with the mission to advise the Planning Commission
and the Board of Supervisors on preparation of a community plan update and
to review individual development projects for the community of Los Alamos.
The LAPAC shall act as the citizen advisory committee that provides input
to the public process. With regard to the plan update, the LAPAC's role includes
gathering public input, participating in the goal setting process, and developing
recommendations relating to land uses and policies developed through the
course of the update process.

Notice of LAPAC Vacancy
The Los Alamos Planning Advisory Committee (LAPAC) currently has one vacant position the needs to be filled immediately. The LAPAC is a seven member committee appointed by the County Board of Supervisors to represent the town of Los Alamos during the update of the Los Alamos Community Plan. As a LAPAC member, you will attend monthly meetings on topics that relate to the Los Alamos Community Plan as well participate in the review of major current planning projects that may occur.
