The Town of Los Alamos
The
Town of Los Alamos is an unincorporated community in the northern portion
of Santa Barbara County. It is located approximately 40 miles northwest of
Santa Barbara and fifteen miles southeast of Santa Maria (Figure 1). U.S.
Highway 101 passes directly through the community in a northwest to southeast
direction and intersects with Highway 135 (known as Bell Street within town
boundaries). The town itself is approximately one square mile in size. The town is currently in the process of updating the Los Alamos Community Plan. Information about activities related to town planning may be accessed from this webpage.
