Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for
the Los Alamos Community Plan Update
The Board of Supervisors authorized initiation of the environmental review at a public hearing held on September 23, 2008. The Draft EIR was released for a 45-day public review on September 25, 2009. A public hearing on the Draft EIR was held during the October 28, 2009 Los Alamos Planning Advisory (LAPAC) meeting. The LAPAC held a series of meetings from October 2009 through April 2010 and adopted a resolution recommending the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors adopt the Final Plan and certify the Final EIR. . On Wednesday, August 11, 2010, the Santa Barbara County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing to consider a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors regarding the adoption of the Los Alamos Community Plan update.
