Mission Canyon Residential Parking Strategy
In 2008, the County Board of Supervisors approved funding for the Mission Canyon Residential Parking Strategy in the Office of Long Range Planning's work program. This project is an action item from the draft Mission Canyon Community Plan to develop a residential parking strategy and draft implementation options to improve ingress and egress within this very high fire hazard area. The goal is to identify areas of the Canyon that experience constrained traffic flow due to on-street parking and develop a strategy to improve public safety.
The project components will include coordination between the Office of Long Range Planning, Public Works and the Fire Department, a community survey, community meetings, and development of a range of potential regulatory and physical improvement options for decision maker consideration and funding.

Maps
- The Residential Parking Strategy Policy Recommendation Maps depict the results of the proposed policy recommendation to delineate travel lanes on public roads in Mission Canyon with fog line striping.
- Based on citizen input, the Dorking Place map was revised in December 2009.
Public Meetings
- Mission Canyon Planning Advisory Committee (MCPAC) Meetings will be scheduled to discuss parking strategy options for MCPAC's consideration and recommendation. See below for meeting materials, to be posted at least 5 days before the meeting.
- On July 22, 2009, a Residential Parking Strategy Subcommittee was formed of three MCPAC members. Subcommittee meeting agendas are posted below.

Community Survey
On February 20, 2009, a Community Survey was mailed to all Mission Canyon Residents and Property Owners to collect the community's thoughts on preliminary options to improve parking and circulation in Mission Canyon.
