Focused Land Use and Development Code Amendment

On Tuesday, October 7, 2014, the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing to consider a proposed amendment to the Santa Barbara County Land Use and Development Code to restore the maximum floor area limit exception for attached garages up to 750 square feet on lots 12,000 square feet or greater. The proposed amendment would apply to the Inland Area within the Summerland Community Plan area.

On Wednesday, July 30, 2014, the Santa Barbara County Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider a proposed amendment to the Santa Barbara County Land Use and Development Code to restore the maximum floor area limit exception for attached garages up to 750 square feet on lots 12,000 square feet or greater. The proposed amendment would apply to the Inland Area within the Summerland Community Plan area.

Adoption of the Summerland Community Plan Update

On Tuesday, May 6, 2014, the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing regarding the adoption of the Summerland Community Plan Update (SCP Update). The SCP Update includes amendments to the Santa Barbara County Comprehensive Plan, Coastal Land Use Plan, Land Use and Development Code, Coastal Zoning Ordinance, Summerland Residential and Commercial Design Guidelines, and Certification of the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR).
