Summerland Planning Advisory Committee (SunPAC)

Montecito The SunPAC will advise County staff on the development of design guidelines and a focused Summerland Community Plan update. This will include the development of Summerland Commercial Design Guidelines, an update of the Board of Architectural Review Guidelines for Summerland, and a focused update of the 1992 Summerland Community Plan's Traffic, Circulation and Parking Chapter. SunPAC members shall receive community input, develop community goals, and review and comment on the drafts of each document. SunPAC members shall be selected based upon geographic areas, professional affiliations, community segments, and other interest groups that are representative of the community.

Notice of Preparation (NOP)

The purpose of the Notice of Preparation (NOP) is to inform interested parties that the Santa Barbara County Planning and Development Long Range Planning Division will be the lead agency in preparing a Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) to the Summerland Community Plan EIR (91-EIR-7) for the Focused Summerland Community Plan Update. Responsible Agency comments related to the agency’s legal responsibilities will be considered and incorporated into the SEIR. Public comments will be accepted in writing and at the Public Scoping Meeting as detailed below.

NOP Comments will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on Monday August 8, 2011.
